Company: spends millions producing a lock so people can have security. wavey stick: *laughs menicingly*
1:55 LPL is a proud supporter of lock supremacy
how many of you walk around with a wave rake testing random locks you run into?
hes putting lock makers to shame smh 🤦🏽♂️😂😂🥺
You REALLY need to offer your product testing skills to EVERY lock manufacturer. You might make more than you do on ILaward.
At aprox time 2:27 to 2:29 you said you would do it again to prove it was not a Fluke. Why? we can all see it is not a Fluke. See this is a Fluke dam-assets.fluke.com/s3fs-public/styles/525_6-col/public/fluke-87v-max.jpg
The amount of Goods stolen from Scotts company have now gone through the roof
Scott uses these in his work and wants to know how to pick it because he isn't trusted with the keys !
"Casual deterrent to theft" is one of his best insults so far.
I'm Scott...Thanks so much for featuring this item. I assumed you would make short work of it and you did not disappoint. Sending you those two straps was 40 bucks well spent. As you said, it's a better deterrent than nothing (which is exactly what we had prior to using this) but there is a LOT of room for improvement. I love your channel. Thanks.
LPL be like: I will say tho that if you had to fight a bear, a chopstick is better than no stick at all. 🤣🤣🤣
A lock only keeps an honest person out.
When the commercial before the video takes longer than picking the lock ...
Anyone else think this make a cool belt?
Aye! Logan, UT!!! WOOT!!
This looks like the perfect type of restraint straps to use to keep those crazies in bed at night... as the embedded steel cables inside of the straps would keep them from getting chewed through... in addition to a simple locking mechanism in the buckles to prevent escapes!
I think the first time was a fluke, based on how much longer it took to pick
No, you dont need to do it a second time, we know its not a fluke, we just come here for the laughs.
me having cable cutter in a backpack becouse im to lazy to buy chain seperator thats a nice bike there
The low skilled raking attack on the wafer lock had the intimidating looking keys trying to run 👀
I watched these videos back to back a few times and I must say the opening where you say "this is the lockpicking lawyer" it gets quite old to here to say the least, I kept muting the audio for a few seconds at the beginning could someone please make this guy a cool intro with a graphic perhaps
i love it, hate these youtubers with 20 second intros that i have to skip every time
Why fix something if it ain’t broken.Take a look at how many subscribers, video views and likes.Critiquing the opening intro seems moot, just sayin.
Once again LPL hits 'em with the patented: "It's better than nothing."
LOGAN UTAH!!! I LIVE THERE!!!
Scott used this lock before he sent it to lpl. Now he's fired probably
We now know exactly which lock Scott does not use any more 😂
I wonder if the lock could be swapped for something more secure and if that would actually turn it into a nice product. @LockPickingLawyer: Any thougths on this? Maybe break out the bolt cutter in the next video on the thing?
I’m not sure how good cable cutters work on that nylon. You might also need a knife to cut back beforehand.
Why do you not have your own lock making company?
this man out-here destroying companies in 1 min or less
Viewer: "Would like to know what you think of this lock my work uses." LPL: *takes out wave rake and doesn't even have a tensioning tool* ono
The lavish angora singly man because adjustment meteorologically unfasten like a slow paint. succinct, enormous salary
If this guy becomes a burglar, he’s going to rob a lot of houses before he gets caught 😂
What do you mean burglar? He would unlock the door, relock, unlock again to make sure it's not a fluke. On the way out he would relock the door. What burglar?
Why not show how hard it is to cut through the strap? These videos annoy me because they leave so much unanswered. Let's see what kind of abuse this strap and lock can take. In any case, here I am left feeling unfulfilled.
"One more time to show you it's not a fluke" (Let me do that a little faster)
I know a global motorcycle brand that sells exactly those straps (branded with their logo) to keep their soft luggage held securely onto their bikes. I bought a set a month ago. I had hoped that they represented more security than that. Groan :(
This is literally a lockpicing school for robers
Do you ever pick them slowly
Is it ever a fluke
Weird videos but I can't stop watching
ScoT not sko
i love watching him finesse these locks open. but i bet i could open that lock with a screwdriver. Using just brute force. Because ive opened a similar locking mechanism the same way, after losing my key to the propane shed.
Steelcore used Wafer Lock! Steelcore's defenses rose slightly. LPL used Raking Attack! It's super effective!
What's the deal with the key here then? Looks like a dimple key ... but isn't?
lock company board room meeting: a: "hey guys lets make a super advances, well-engineered steel enforced locking strap!" b: "great idea! we can put in all these features *points to board" days later a: "cool, so the strap's design is done. what are we going to do for the lock itself?" b: "man idk how to make a lock... hey look this one's cheap, just put it on there"
Love how the 2nd try to make sure it not was a fluke, actually ended up being WAY faster than first try xD
Your comments about the strap remind me of one of my favourite comments I got at my last job. Situation: Factory with scrap bin, scrap bin has lock that's missing key Me: I need this lock removed, I think I'm gonna just cut it. Mechanic: You can't cut that lock Me: *left and came back with massive wire cutters* I believe I can. Mechanic: No, policy will stop you. Me: *proceeds to cut the lock clean off* Didn't seem to...
I bet lock manufacturers hate this guy. He's probably blackmailing some of them. Pay up or I'll do a video on your product.
I'm also from Logan as well. Made me chuckle. Small world.
In use, such a lock would probably have quite a bit of tension on the strap (ratcheting mechanism). This in turn could place tension on the latch and locking mechanism. I wonder how hard it would be to pick when the strap is under tension?
I just saw a commercial of Halo Smart house locks
LPL: uses random tool to break into Ledger Nano S hard wallet :/.... Also LPL: This seems to be nothing more than a casual deterrent to theft
"This is lockpicking lawyer and i'll demostrate how to infiltrate the "Most secured Vault" at Fort Knox" *Literally minutes* "and we got this opened and let's see the inside"
Serious questions, is there any lock the LPL hasn’t managed to open?
Yes, a few actually. Check his videos; he made one about the locks he has not yet opened (at the time of filming)
One day there will be a video by LPL called "picked russian missile silo with paperclip"
Has a company ever reached to LPL to be a paid consultant on lock design amd improvement? I know dozens of companies sent him free junk locks. If I was in the business of making locks I would love to have the LPL stamp of approval.
Hey LPL, any suggestions for gettings locks in our vehicles for security?
We need and would love a Top 10 safest Gun locks. If u make one pls include both safety and ease of use, and suggested fixes for manufacturers.
Compared to a shoe lace it's quite secure.
🤣🤣🤣 come on you just can’t stop LPL
So how would you go about picking a lock like this without knowing the key shape prior? I'm sure trial and error + examination could allow you to determine the type of lock without prior knowledge, but is there a trip to tell other than prior research?
Dang, these videos get more and more embarrassing for the companies that make the locks.
I wonder what locks this guy has in his own house
Okay, who actually thinks LPL ever opens something that was an actual fluke.
Almost...almost... tempted to thumbs down the video for not actually taking a cable cutters to the strap.
Any time he does the "lets do this one more time to show that it wasn't a fluke", you know it's going to go downhill for the lock real quick from there!
"Low skill raking attack" someone please *please* make this a video game. This would be so amazing. You could collect better tools, learn new skills, and travel across the world picking different locks. LOL
wow theres 1300 of these now
so if you want to know how to easily open a lock, send it to LPL and he will show you how to easily open it.
Lol technology connections' line popped into my head "thanks to the magic of buying two of them..."
What locks do you recommend/ what modifications for extra security?
#LPL I would enjoy seeing you pick a pair of dept issued Law enforcement handcuffs. They always look so easy to open on those cop shows with the key they have. In any case, I appreciate your time and thank you for all the great content!!! P.S I picked my first padlock a few days ago. It was an old Yale padlock i found in my parents junk drawer that i remember being there at least 30 yrs since I was a young boy! You gave me the confidence to try, Thanks
wow, that first run was the longest I've ever seen LPL take to rake a lock, theeeeen the second run was more like usual
Link to "unpickable" lock. What do you think? A clip of your voice was used to cast doubt on to pickers
Can we see a lock collection?
With all his outstanding skills, I wonder if this guy can lock an unlocked padlock! 🙃🙃🙃
For real security tie the strap in a knot.
Yoo! Logan, UT represent!
1300 -- congrats!
Didn't cut the strap :(
I am a locksmith in training, do you have any tips on better practicing methods for picking?
Could you do a video of your personal favorite locks you’d recommend us to bye and showing how long it would take you to open them
Everyone gangsta until the Lock Picking Lawyer starts making tutorials
I'm surprised he didn't just cut it lol
Why bother with the covert instruments link? There is very little in stock. Its a major disappointment.
people: aww companies want to make a better lock me, a red pilled man: So another scam that had 99999$ in marketing, 9999999$ in design and 0$ in actually providing value; literally the definition of a scam.
When that guy makes a video of the super pickproof lock you send him and you see that it last less than 2 minutes.....
Are dual authentication locks a thing at all? Like needing a key and a NFC fob to unlock? Seems a reasonably easy way to at least make picking a lot harder
It seems like with most thieves half the deterrent is them seeing a lock
Oh no! Does this mean anyone who wants to can break in to Utah and stay here? I sure hope there's enough water for everyone since Utah's currently in the midst of a 20+ year drought and it's not like we ever get that much precipitation during good years to begin with.
The modern bob ross
As a recreational wave raker, I would be thrown off by the double sidedness though...
The wave rake is a huge middle finger
